Pregnancy Yoga

If you have never been to a Yoga class before, think about looking for one now that you are pregnant.

Yoga for mummy

Specialist pregnancy classes will prepare you for nurturing your unborn child together with learning tools for birthing.

Yoga is a science which enables the practitioner to understand that the breath is the key. It is that which influences the body/mind state.

Once you become aware of breathing patterns, so your ability to release stress and relax harmonises the state of mind and it is that which enhances the ability to view pregnancy and giving birth as a natural process, for which a female body has been designed.

Yoga for baby

Sharing time with your new baby is precious and Yoga for Baby can help make this time even more special.

Baby yoga reinforces the benefits of yoga for mummy after birth. Most classes also encourage baby massage techniques as well as gentle movement and stretching for baby, which can be especially useful for any baby suffering with colicky symptoms.

Most mums also report much improved sleep patterns in babies who attend regular baby yoga classes. Perhaps this is due to the fact that both mummy and baby learn how to relax together during the class or learn how to feel a bit less stressed when the going gets tough sometimes.

Also for general sense of wellbeing that can come just from being able to sit and talk through similar experiences with like minded mums over a cup of tea and a biscuit can not be under-estimated!
